Project Brief

Poochkoo is a pet-centric brand built around the idea of celebrating the unconditional love shared between humans and their pets. With the tagline “For Love of All Pets,” the brand aims to offer pet care products and services that are joyful, affectionate, and inclusive. The client sought a playful yet professional logo that would appeal to both pet lovers and pet owners while standing out in a competitive market filled with generic pet visuals. The goal was to create a brand identity that is emotionally engaging, easily memorable, and scalable across packaging, social media, merchandise, and digital platforms. The challenge: bring warmth, character, and clarity together in a clean, contemporary mark that pet parents can instantly connect with.

My Approach​

My approach for the Poochkoo logo began with a deep understanding of what pet lovers feel—love, comfort, and companionship. I wanted to translate that emotional bond into a visual identity. The logo icon is crafted as a continuous line drawing of a dog’s face, subtly forming a ‘P’ monogram—the first letter of the brand. This minimal and intuitive icon combines simplicity with recognizability, giving the brand a strong personality without the need for text. The custom typography complements the icon with rounded, playful letterforms that radiate friendliness and approachability. The bold red color was chosen for its energy, warmth, and association with affection—perfectly aligned with the tagline, “For Love of All Pets.” A soft cream background and paw-pattern texture help create a wholesome, tactile visual system that supports the brand across all media. Every element—from the friendly curves to the emotional tone—was designed with pet parents in mind, resulting in a logo that is heartfelt, modern, and unmistakably pet-loving.
